The New Jersey Society of CPAs is holding three webinars on issues dealing with the cannabis industry.

Cannabis: Banking and Insurance Issues: Hear about the latest trends, including what insurance carriers are writing in the industry, what coverage your clients should have in place, why D&O coverage is so important and why many carriers have stopped writing it for the cannabis industry. Larry Lipman, CEO of eXPO, will address banking issues and alternatives and Holly DeLorenzo, Hardenberg Insurance Group will provide an update on insurance issues. Noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30.

Cannabis: How It Is Working in Other States – CA, CO, WA: Which states have success in setting up a cannabis industry? Which states need improvement? Hear perspective from professionals who serve cannabis clients in other states and learn how New Jersey should address legalization. Noon to 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30.

Representing Cannabis Clients – Pitfalls and Possibilities: Laws regarding marijuana use and legalization are changing rapidly, leading to confusion for CPAs on how to serve marijuana business clients safely. CAMICO has a unique understanding of the accounting profession, has been handling CPA liability claims for more than 30 years, and has developed this high-level presentation to help raise your awareness of the practice risks for cannabis clients in today’s volatile legal environment. Noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5.
