New Jersey native and former NBA first-round pick Al Harrington, who is the the co-founder of Viola Brands, will be the featured speaker at CannaGather NJ’s monthly event Oct. 30 in Trenton.
Harrington is also part of Simply Pure New Jersey’s application for one of six Alternative Treatment Center licenses that will be awarded by the New Jersey Department of Health.
The event at First Trenton National Bank at 1 W. State St. is the first time CannaGather is hosting an event outside of Jersey City. Thirty of the 146 applicants for the six new ATCs want to be located in Trenton.

Ruben Baerga, COO Green Medicine NJ. Green Medicine is a pioneer in the marijuana industry, perfecting its expertise cultivating and dispensing high-quality award-winning strains over the last 9 years. They currently hold 20 licenses across Colorado and Arizona and applied for a license in the central region of New Jersey this past August.
Nelson Guerrero is the executive director of the Cannabis Cultural Association. Through the CCA Nelson works to end the stigma around cannabis use by educating all people, both in English and in Spanish, about the benefits that cannabis offers. The CCA achieved § 501(c)(3) non-profit status in February 2017 and, among other things, emphasizes criminal justice reform, promotes access to medical cannabis and advocates legalization for adult-use of cannabis.
David Wenger, Esq., author of “The Green Regulatory Arbitrage: A Case for Investing in US Multi-State Vertically-Integrated Cannabis Companies.” He will share key takeaways impacting the cannabis investing landscape.
