President Trump signaled his support for a bill that would end the federal ban on marijuana.

“I support Sen. Gardner,” Trump said a day after the legislation was introduced by Senators Cory Gardner (R-Colo.) and Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.). “I know exactly what he’s doing. We’re looking at it. But I probably will end up supporting that, yes.”

The bill, the Strengthening the Tenth Amendment Entrusting States (STATES) Act, would amend the federal Controlled Substances Act to exempt state-legal marijuana activity from its provisions.
